In the Gallery of Modern Art, a mirror and table were very thoughtfully provided for the use of passing would-be artists. Never one to miss an opportunity, I sat down for a few moments to create a miniature masterpiece. The result was the small drawing on the right of this image.

You can judge how life-like it is!

The image in the frame on the wall is my favourite artwork on this floor of the GOMA in Glasgow. However, on this particular occasion the photograph was overshadowed by this lady’s wonderful wellies – they were the real star of the show.

This man stood for a long time looking at these framed photographs and reading the small note on the wall which gave the history of the photographs.

It’s funny how you seem to end up at some places time and time again. The Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow is, for me, such a place. Spending time there yesterday afternoon, it was interesting watching people coming and going, and seeing the different reactions they had to the art and exhibits on display; some gave the images a quick glance, while others spent a long time looking at them.

In the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow, this couple were busy watching a video art installation. I was busy watching them watching it.
